Hilton refreshed its elite status match challenge again. If you sign up now and finish the stays within 90 days, you can keep the status through March 31, 2028. That’s effectively a little over two years of value.

How to Hilton Status Match

Hilton status match
Hilton Honors will match you to Gold or Diamond if you hold eligible elite status with another program.
  • Match to Gold: stay 6 nights within 90 days to keep Gold through March 31, 2028.
  • Earn Diamond: stay 12 nights within 90 days to upgrade to Diamond through March 31, 2028.
  • You must not currently have Hilton Gold or Diamond status to do the challenge.
  • You need to upload proof of status and proof of a recent stay from the program you’re matching with.

Submit a status match here: https://www.hiltonhonors.com/en_US/status-match/landing/

What you need to submit

  • Status proof: a screenshot showing your current, active elite status.
  • Stay proof: a screenshot of a recent reservation or hotel folio/receipt.

Quick context

The requirements are simpler than last year's. Previously, it was 8 nights to keep Gold and 14 nights for Diamond. Now it’s 6 nights for Gold and 12 nights for Diamond.
Also, note that the status update is not instant. Data points suggest it can take 7–12 business days for the match to reflect.

Who this is for

This is best if you:
  • Already have elite status elsewhere, and
  • Have real Hilton stays coming up anyway, and
  • Don’t want (or can’t get) a Hilton card that grants status.
